The Darlington Civic Theatre is renounded for being a theatre haunted by it's former owner, Signor Rino Pepi.
And although first believed to be the most active spirit we have found out this not to be the case. Over the last year we have investigated this location on numerous occasions and Rino has been very quiet.

The most active spirit seems to be someone who as of yet we do not have a certain name for although it could quite possibly be the former caretaker of the building "Norman" Loud bangs and knockings are often heard from what sounds like chains and keys. Could this be Norman doing his rounds and making sure everything is locked up safe for the evening?

If it is the spirit of Norman he doesn't seem to be aware that we are their and just seems happy going about his daily business as he would in Life.

Other spirits we have come across recently have been that of a somewhat unhappy chap in dressing room 12. Previous mediums have picked up on a spirit named "Anabella or Arabella" who haunts this room but whenever attempts are made to contact this young girl a nasty presence of a man enters the room and prevents communication being made.

Quite an intimidating presence he will often walk around the group and often push people as if to tell them to leave and stay away. More investigating is needed to find out who this man is and indeed the girl.

Spirits of animals are also not uncommon in the theatre and on our last investigation the sound of a dog running towards you could be heard every time our team leader asked for the dog to come towards us. For anyone interested in investigating the Darlington Civic Theatre we would ask you to visit our events section on the website where tickets are available for many dates throughout the year.
